Birthday Parties
Connect nature to your next birthday party.
Bugs, bees, history, birds... or a little bit of everything! Your favourite part of nature may be explored by choosing one of the following birthday party themes:
- Moccasin Walk (all year)
- Settlers' Walk (mid-April to November)
- Owl Prowl (all year)
- Winter Wildlife (December to February)
- Winter Birds* (December to February)
- Wildlife Survival Games (all year)
- Halloween Nature Walk (October)
- Christmas Nature Walk* (mid-November to December)
- Go Fly a Kite (All year)
- Fun Day Activities (all year)
All parties are led by a Kortright Centre nature guide, and include a themed hike through the forest and nature games.
Each party has an outdoor component. For your comfort, we suggest you dress for the weather on the day of your visit.
Our themed parties are designed for children from seven to 12 years of age.
(several marked * are also suitable for children six years old). To ensure everyone has an enjoyable time on their special day, we do require the birthday child to be at least six years old.
Parties are offered from 10 a.m. to 12 noon or 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. year-round (except March to mid-April, during Maple Syrup demonstrations).
In addition to your party package, you are welcome to enjoy the indoor exhibits, aquariums, films and videos in our theatre. The Visitor Centre also has a fantastic gift shop, great for loot bag purchasing.
Birthday Party Booking Information
Our Birthday Programs are most suitable for groups up to 20 people.
Total cost is $150.00. + GST (10% discount for members)
- There will be an added charge of $6.00 + GST for each additional person.
- Advance bookings are required with payment by VISA, MasterCard, or cheque at least two weeks prior to the party date.
- Cancellation notice or changes must be made at least seven days in advance.
- A 10% administration fee will apply to all cancellations.
Loot bags are available at a cost of $6.50 + taxes. Please see insert for details.

*The GO FLY A KITE party has an additional charge of $4.00 per child to cover the cost of the kite material.
*An ADULT / CHILD RATIO of 1 to 7 is required for these programs. For safety reasons, we prefer a ratio of 1 to 5 for the POND LIFE program.
