Forest therapy is a concept based upon the Japanese practice of shinrin yoku (“forest bathing”): the practice of immersing yourself in nature — or more specifically the forest — and connecting with the forest in a deep, mindful way that allows for inner and outer healing.
Each 2.5 hour Forest therapy walk, led by Ameeta Dudani, is a gentle experience in nature. The aim is to get you out of your head to get to know yourself better and learn to more easily switch from the busy doing (reactive) mode to being (responsive) mode.
In forest therapy, the guide opens the door and the forest is the therapist. Each session will end with a tea ceremony.
Please dress for the weather (comfortable outdoor clothing, good footwear, rain gear, and extra layers, as we will be moving very, very slowly) and bring a water bottle.
