Grades 2-4
Discover how natural environments help reduce the impacts of severe weather. This hands-on program builds an early understanding of weather systems, climate impacts, and the importance of healthy natural spaces.
Active games, experiments, and outdoor exploration demonstrate how forests, wetlands, soil, and green spaces can protect communities from flooding, high winds, heat waves, and drought.
Investigate weather conditions, observe how water moves through landscapes, explore the role of trees and wetlands in storm mitigation, and create simple weather tools.
Program fees are subsidized through the ImpactWX Genesis Grant until April 30, 2026.
